A Big Girl, Naked Jailbird I’m Ronnie. I’m ok. I’m nice, and cute, kinda funny. I’m a nice lady, yea! I’m an artist all the way through. I paint a lot. I do a good job on it. I make Babydolls out of clay, because I know how to make them. Being an artist is smart, it’s pretty good. (At my station) records on the record machine. It plays real well. I like country music, and rock n’ roll and Elvis Presley. I’m 76 Because I’m older than they are. Indeed I am. Sometimes they call me grandma. It’s kinda funny, but they like me, they love me.

Ronnie was born April 4, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in Dixon, Illinois with 2 sisters, her mother, and father. Ronnie attended Dixon State School. Ronnie currently lives with 3 friends in Des Plaines. Ronnie has been drawing and making crafts her whole life. She is the inspiration behind the studio and has been drawing and painting at the studio since January 2000. Ronnie is an untrained artist who will use any medium put in front of her. She enjoys mixed media pieces, drawing and painting with oil and acrylic. Ronnie will work on any found object, but prefers to paint on canvas, wood, and glass. Ronnie said “The studio is perfect because I get to paint!”
