The Arts of Life kicks off Chicago Artists Month with their Building Community art exhibition, opening on October 9th at Bite Café from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The show will feature figurative, people-centered artwork, created by artists in the collective. The exhibition is free and the opening will be catered by Bite Café.
When: Thursday, October 9th, Gallery Opening 6 p.m. to 8 pm;
(Building Community exhibition runs October 9, 2008 through January 2, 2009.)

The Arts of Life Band will be performing in the Around the Coyote 2008 Fall Arts Fest. They will perform several songs from their new album. A Festival Day Pass is $10 for one day of visual art, literary, film, music, and theatre.

The Arts of Life Band will be celebrating the release of their debut self-titled record October 30th at 8 p.m. at The Empty Bottle.
The festivities will continue until midnight, featuring performances by the Arts of Life Band and the Quad Cities’ Chrash Flood and Chicago’s Devil in a Woodpile. The cover charge is $7 per person. All proceeds go directly back into The Arts of Life studio.
When: Thursday, October 30th, 8 p.m. - Midnight.

ROCK FOR THE ARTS (OF LIFE)

The Cork Lounge is hosting Rock for the Arts (of Life), a night of live rock, drink specials and more with proceeds benefiting the Arts of Life. Saturday November 15th beginning at 7pm, The Cork’s stage will start rocking with live performances by 4 area bands: reddelicious, I Love You (Kansas City), Dave Smith and the Arts of Life Band. The cover charge is $5. There will be studio artwork available for purchase to raise additional funds.

This week, July 14 to 18, Arts of Life is part of the ADA art exhibition at the Thompson Center, Downtown at 100 W. Randolph. We are showing with other groups we have shown with before such as Esperanza, Little City, and Project Onward.

Please join The Arts of Life for our annual Summer Exhibit and Silent Auction. Admission is $40, which includes beer donated by Chicago Beverage Systems, and food catered by bigbite Catering. There will be a silent auction and the chance to win great raffle prizes from local restaurants and businesses. Proceeds from this event go directly back into The Arts of Life studio. Chicago Country Club to Host Art Exhibit with Music and Silent Auction to Benefit Arts Of Life.

The Arts of Life Studio is proud to be part of The Intuit Show of Folk and Outsider Art. The Intuit Show of Folk and Outsider Art is an art fair sponsored by and benefiting Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art. The Intuit Show features the sale of self-taught art, outsider art, art brut, ethnographic art, non-traditional folk art and visionary art. A distinct element of ARTroplis, a citywide celebration of arts, antiques and culture, The Intuit Show brings together leading dealers and galleries from around the world.
