Using consistent motifs of flowers, trees, multi-colored pastures, houses, buildings, and clouds, Stefan is an artist that enjoys bringing creative within an established form and making it his own.
With a very Eastern European love for the decorative, Stefan takes artwork from a cultural tradition and enlivens it with playful forms and his own signature color palette generated through his work at Arts of Life.
Artist’s Statement
I like to make art because I like to put the images in my mind onto paper. It’s easy to do because I put my heart and soul into it.
I draw trees, birds and flowers because it gives me many options, I don’t get stuck in drawing pictures of just one thing. I make my art out of oil pastels and acrylics. Sometimes I use a tool to scrape off the top layer of paint so you can see what’s underneath. I use what fits the painting.
I use different textures and I spend a lot of time choosing the colors. The clouds, the flowers, the sidewalk are all things that I see in my paintings. I feel that the world is a part of me.
I want to be the best artist that I can be. I am inspired by the people here. They’re beautiful, and all friends. The studio is a great environment to work in. I’m on top of the world here!
