The Arts of Life 2012 Awards Show and Fundraiser

The Arts of Life honors artists with disabilities in annual Awards Show and Fundraiser. Chicago’s most unique arts studio invites you to help celebrate the accomplishments of its community.

The Arts of Life, a Chicagoland non-profit arts studio for adults with and without disabilities, celebrates the achievements of its artists at The Arts of Life 2012 Awards Show and Fundraiser on February 16th starting at 6pm at the Winnetka Community House. This annual event is a wonderful opportunity to recognize every artist from both the Chicago and North Shore studios. At the Awards Show, each artist will be honored for their accomplishments in 2011.

2011 was year of firsts for The Arts of Life! David, Kelly, and Francis took their first plane trip ever to visit an art installation they created at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. and for the first time in twelve years, The Arts of Life has hit capacity at their Chicago studio. You can learn more about these events and other stories at the Awards Show on February 16th.

This year, the Awards Show will not only showcase past work, but will also debut the studios’ artistic ventures for 2012.  The North Shore studio’s music and performance groups will premier original videos created for this event and the Chicago studio will show off its newest medium, screen-printing!

Be My Valentine Special – $90 for two
Three tickets – $42.50 each
Groups of four or more – $40 each

Proceeds go directly to supporting The Arts of Life, which is celebrating twelve years of empowering people to create an amazing artistic and personal vision for their community.  Award show guests will also enjoy gourmet beer from Two Brothers Brewing Company and appetizers provided by Red Rabbit Catering.
